Neem Seeds is used for leprosy, eye disorders, bloody nose, intestinal worms, stomach upset, loss of appetite, skin ulcers, diseases of the heart and blood vessels (cardiovascular disease), fever, diabetes, gum disease (gingivitis), and liver problems.

• Seed—bitter, blood-purifier, astringent, stimulant, diuretic. 
• Used topically for leucoderma, ringworm, venereal ulcers and other skin diseases.

• It stimulates contraction of different tissues of plain muscles, like uterus, intestine, bladder, and muscles in blood vessels. Chaksine has ganglionblocking property.

Seed-oil—used for treating mental depression, hysteria and for improving memory; also used for scabies, eczema, wounds, rheumatic pains, paralysis. A decoction of seeds is given in gout, rheumatism, paralysis and for treating leprosy and other skin diseases. 
• Leaves— anti-dysenteric, emmenagogue.
•  Root—a paste of root-bark is applied to swollen veins and pneumonic affections. 
• Flowers—showed both analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities
• As a tranquilizer and brain tonic. The ripe seed is used in leucoderma and vitiligo.

Subabul Seeds is cultivated widely in the tropics as a fodder plant,  especially on  dry  waste  lands. It  produces white flowers tinged with yellow resembling mimosa and  long  flattened  pods.  Subabul (kubabul) trees are grown all over India. Subabul leaves are fed to animals as green fodder.

‘Mimosine’ (a glucoside) which has adverse effect on growth,  reproduction and health of animals. Mimosine may cause loss of hairs in young cattle. So it should be used as per recommended levels.

Subabul seeds contain 65% TDN and 29% CP. Thus it is a good source of energy and protein.

When subabul seeds are used in feed, it is advisable to add iron  and iodine containing mineral mixture.  Subabul as green fodder  should not  be used more  than 33% of  total ration. Subabul seeds can be safely used up to 10 and 30% level in concentrate mixture for lactating and growing animals, respectively. They can be used up to 30% level in the ration of adult bullocks.

• Treatment is usually administered with a diuretic to prevent fluid retention

• Root- Decoction is employed to increase uterine contractions and for expulsion of oetus in difficult cases.

• Stimulant to gastricmucosa, increases pancreatic secretions; emetic (used in narcotic poisoning), diaphoretic, rubefacient. 
• Used externally as a poultice in bronchitis, pleurisy, intercostal neuralgia, chilbains.
• Avoided in gastrointestinal ulcers and kidney disorders.

• Used with ginger and Piper longum for viral hepatitis.
